When you work from home it seems you can never escape the work that needs to be done around the house. Dishes are in the sink and laundry is in the basket and you are right there walking past it throughout the day.
It is important to set work boundaries. Hopefully those boundaries can be both physical and mental. Having a separate workspace away from everything else at home will help considerably with distractions. Having a set work schedule will also help. Set a mental rule that during your work day you will not complete home chores. Tell yourself that if you worked outside the home you would not be able to do the dishes in the middle of the day so you will not be doing them not that your job is home-based.
Make the members of your family aware of this policy. If you make those around you treat your home-based job as a job it will be easier for you to do the same.
